Welcome to our collection of moderately difficult – but usually quite long – days out in the mountains!
This is a selection of the best routes we have experienced over the years, gaining experience from hiking and scrambling to climbing and eventually to alpinism and back-country skiing. The level of details within each route varies, but all include at least GPX track, a list of essential gear, a few tips and some pictures. Feel free to ask for more details.
Please note that this is not a guidebook, nor are we professional guides. All routes vary from season to season and – depending on conditions and your abilities – may be harder or take longer than indicated. Mountain activities always carry inherent risk. Assess your own skills and the current conditions critically, or travel with a certified guide.

Very nice peak with long approach and easy climbing all the way to the very sharp top.
-
Mont Blanc in a day
A very long day from the Les Houches church to the top of Mont Blanc and back. Unforgettable trip!

Middle of three glaciers, nice approach, interesting climb to the top. What else can you ask for!

Nice outing, combining two “björns” (meaning bears). Best views around Smörstabbtinden.
-
Sauen & Geite
Great route up to the middle of Smörstabbtindane with best of views. Goes up in places on a steep glacier.
-
Store Smørstabbtinden
Great hike with proper scrambling near the top. Great way to get deep in between the glaciers with just hiking equipment.
-
Petit Flambeau & Aiguille de Toule
Best way to experience Glacier du Géant? Walk from midi to Torino visitin a few smaller peaks and take panorama lift back.
-
Arête de la Table
Nice variant to reach Aiguille du Tour. Climbing “the table” is quite an undertaking.
-
Pointes Lachenal, Laurence and Cosmiques Traverse
This is 3 easy and popular routes combined in an unparallel environment. Each can be done as separate outing as well. Be mindful of traffic jams at the Comique traverse if you arrive there late in the afternoon.
-
Gran Paradiso
Highest peak of Italy. Relatively easy, mostly walking on snow. Summit ridge involves some scrambling. Very nice 4k summit for beginners.
-
Austanbottstind traverse
Classic traverse in Jotunheimen done in the wrong direction. Never too hard but lots of scrambling.
-
Traverse of the Perrons
Super exposed, airy and long, but never too difficult. Good rope management and short roping skills required. Longish walk back.
