Started from Spiterstule hut. This route is well marked and doesn’t require any mountaineering or glacier experience. But it’s a very long hike with close to 1500 vertical meters. Alternative route with less vertical meters starts from Juvasshytta, but goes through active glacier.
Path is generally good, but involves lots of different scrambling sections, is quite steep in places and there is usually snow near the top. Ice axe and crampons should be considered in colder weather.
Popular route, be prepared to not be alone.
Essential gear we had

There is usually snow around the year near the top. On warm weather trail runners were good choice for footwear.
Views from the top are quite good 🙂
