Great hike with proper scrambling near the top. Great way to get deep in between the glaciers with just hiking equipment.

Start from the Krossbu hut straight east. Follow well visible paths all the way up to the lake below Leirbrean glacier. After the lake you have to take little detour left and up to the terrace at 1700m. Going straight is too steep. From there you can see the way to the top.
The steepest scrambling section is around 2000m elevation. It’s not very steep, but rocks are big and loose. Also this side is in the side until late afternoon, so wet and icy conditions are probably not rare. After the scramble enjoy the views and walk easily to the narrow top!
Essential gear we had

Start of the route follows a river and has well worn out path to follow.
Route goues around the glacier lake. You have to go up on opposite side to the glacier where the terrain is les steep.
Last steep scrambling section up ahead. We went on the left side. On the right might be little les steep. Loose rocks no matter what you choose.
Other side of the mountain is very steep. Easy path up to the top.
